This past weekend was a big one for the Ellis Family. Wes and I are proud to annouce that we bought a new car. As you have read we have to get rid of his truck. This was heartbreak for my husband. Wes waited until we were financially ready to purchase his new truck. We were confident in our decision and he was so happy to drive off the lot in his GMC Sierra. Well, life throws curves...Wes came back to Augusta to work, I left a job in order to move to Columbia only to have to find a job in Augusta again. Fortunately, I found a great job with a great company, but the pay is a little less than I was making. Then, SURPRISE! We found out we were having Trenton. So, life gets messy and expensive. Wes's truck (unfortunately) was the first thing to go.

Saturday we dropped Trenton off at MeMe and Pop's and we went to CarMax to see what they would give Wes for his truck. A brief 30 minute trip turns into 4 hours later. Thankfully we had enough forethought to drop Trenton off...it was a HOT, LONG process. We drove a Chevy Trailblazer, Nissan Altima, and finally Wes decided on......

A VW Passat..not at all what I thought he would purchase, but this was all his decision. Wes loves his little giddy-up and go car. Who would have ever thought that my 6'4" husband would buy a car, but as long as he is happy, I am happy. I was on my best behavior during this process. I said nothing and let him make the decision. I didn't even drive it! However, it is in the shop right now because the check engine light came on, so the sale is not final yet.

What makes me even happier is this motivated us both to clean out our garage so we both can park in it now! YAY! (all of Hammond Drive is excited about this too!)

Another exciting thing is Trenton is 9 Months Old. Technically, yesterday was his 9 month b'day, but we were a little short-staffed, so I didn't have time to even think about blogging. We had a mini photo shoot the other night to celebrate....

So, Happy 9 Month Birthday, Trenton! I cannot believe how much you have grown! And now my precious child has found the motivation needed to roll over...a remote control! :)
