Aunt Dr., Aunt Bee, Uncle JP VISIT!

So, this weekend was a pretty eventful one for precious little Trenton. Friday night, I ended up leaving work later than normal, but I make it home and Wes has to immediately leave because his door won't lock at work. Why this is a problem since they are glass doors and he was just robbed, I mean I understand, but not really. :) So, he goes to meet the locksmith. I stay with Trenton and cook dinner. After we eat, Trenton does and then he goes to bed...simple night.

Saturday, Aunt Dr. comes into town. I call her this because she is my friend, Katy Falk, who is about to graduate from optometry school in May. So, she will be my Dr. friend. Well, she calls me after she runs on the Battery in Charleston, rough life, and says her GPS puts her in NA around 2:50ish. Great! So, I am watching TV and waiting. Meanwhile, Wes takes Trenton to the shop to see Uncle Brian and Wayne. Trenton is such a good boy, but they don't crank the engine because Trenton doesn't have baby earplugs. :) So, Wes is sure to be home by 3 so he can be there when Falk arrives. They get home and I get a call from Falk - "um, I didn't want you to be worried but I probably won't be there until 3:30....this is typical Falk, no offense....I hit a turkey!" I am sorry, what?!? I thought she was driving on the interstate, so I had no idea why there would be a turkey. No, my friend decided to take back roads and she hit a turkey! She said she and the car are fine, but there was a feather in her windshield that was a constant reminder of the life she prematurely took. What is so ironic about this is her boyfriend is quite the hunter...so, she calls him and asks how many he shot because she got a turkey. Well, he wasn't hunting those, but still. So, I decide I will have to go get Falk some wine to help her after her traumatic experience. So, I do. Keep in mind, I do not drink wine...I don't like it, I know nothing about it, but I figure there can't be too many options, so I hit the road to Publix.

Nobody told me the wine aisle had about 500 bottles on it! Why does it have to be so difficult? I mean, there is some serious competition out there. Falk told me to buy chianti...okay, that is direction..how long could this take? So, the first wine I come to is in a box..no, that isn't what I want. Next I see Arbor Mist. I remember way back in college Falk drinking this, but surely, she has moved on to something better. So, I keep looking...next bottle, about a gallon of wine...not what I want either. So, I just start looking for names that sound yummy. No clue. I text my friend, Bee, who texts me back Sunday - little late. Publix has an amazing system that helps you understand what type of wines go with what food. I know we are having chicken, I can do this! However, I was reading about white wines for the first 20 minutes on the wine aisle! FINALLY! I find something, reasonably priced and I go with it. WHEW!

I get home after running into half of North Augusta and forgetting 3 things on my list and FALK is there! YAY! Trenton is dead asleep..sleeps through Baxter barking at Falk, me coming home and screaming when I see Falk, everything. So we chat a while and Trenton wakes up...FALK is such a good MOM! I seriously learned so much from watching her. AMAZING. Trenton LOVES her..he calms down with her and everything. The only thing on which Falk needs to improve is she lets him fall asleep while he eats and she gets engrossed in conversation and then we have to wake him up, but she was such a natural! She feeds him at 9:30 and we put him to bed...along with my husband, and stay up and chat about life..we haven't seen each other since Bee's wedding...GREAT night..

SUNDAY ~ Um, Falk sleeps in until 10...we went to bed at midnight and she wakes up and says "I didn't mean to sleep 10 hours...morning!" I was so glad to let her sleep in. Wes and I slept in until 8 for me and 9 for him! WOW! So, Bee and JP are coming from a wedding in Cola. Originally they were getting there between 12 and 1, but around 3 they arrive..I haven't seen them since their wedding in June either! CRAZY! So great to see them and get to catch up. Trenton loved meeting his Aunt Bee (not from Andy Griffith) and Uncle JP. Bee didn't give herself credit, but she was also a great Mom! She got to feed him part of the bottle and Uncle JP finished if off. They stayed and we talked for a while until the weather and family came and they decided to hit the road! I am so ready to have a reunion where we all can make it there...friends are great to have around..and I miss these girls SO MUCH!

I have to say, I had such an amazing time seeing them and catching up. To the point that Bee and I talked after she was on the road to ATL. I hope they can come back soon! Tonight I hope to post pictures of Trenton with his DIVAS! I LOVE these girls and hope soon Aunt LeeLee and Wally, Aunt Becker and Russ can visit!

on a side note..Please start praying for my sanity as Wes leaves for Orlando (for work) on Wednesday and doesn't come back until Saturday...uh oh! Nameless is picking Trenton up from daycare on Friday and helping to keep him until Wes gets home on Saturday (I have class).
