Daddy & Trenton

So, I have realized that my husband reads our blog and he is not happy that I put he just wanted to caulk, so this blog will be dedicated to him and all he does for our family...tender moment.

Those of you who know me, know I am not a mushy person, but I do appreciate all he does. Many women out there will be so jealous to know that my precious husband takes ALL the night feeds. Initially, we did the thing where you get up together, but that was just STUPID...one person needs sleep. So, then it was alternating. Then, one night, Wes let me sleep through the night and it was all over! Now, I am ashamed to confess, but I am that Mom who doesn't always hear the monitor until my husband is already up and out of the bed! Wes doesn't complain and about once every 2 weeks he will nicely say, "Sara, will you get this one?" I do it, sometimes I am a touch cranky, but I do it.

Today, Wes is home with Trenton. They are going to hopefully take a nap together and do the laundry, etc, but it is a good daddy who is willing to not only take today off to be with his child, but who also takes Trenton to all of his appointments! Wes has really proven to be a great Daddy and I am excited to see he and Trenton learn all about each other.

Last night, Trenton was fighting sleep after his exciting day with MeMe, but it was hilarious because he would cry - totally fake - then make himself laugh (PRECIOUS giggle), then realize he was happy and shouldn't be, so cried again. Finally, we put him in his crib and he slept from about 9:30-2:00! After working a crazy day - Sherwin Williams was super busy - Wes came home and helped with Trenton so I could do homework, then got up for the night feeds!

One issue, Baxter now will not have much to do with Wes. The days of them running in the back yard together, OVER. Baxter will not leave Trenton and me to go anywhere..unless car keys and/or a leash are present. So, when our dog needs to go out at 3AM, it is I who wakes up and goes downstairs. I am hopeful soon they will resume their bond, but it isn't looking too good!

OH, I did get a partner for the group project...Life is Good! :) I know everyone was worried.
