How is that when you are pregnant every one tells you exactly how everything will be...clearly, their delivery and parenting style is the same as yours and they know exactly what is best for your child. Well, when I was pregnant and heard every horror story there was combined with all their advice on how to be the best parent, I swore I would not be one of those women; however it all changes!
Parenting and raising a child is not something you can do alone. While I would have appreciated one less HORROR story during my pregnancy, I have NO clue what I am doing. I hate that more women don't admit that, maybe they know what they are doing. I find that now that my child is sick, I am at a loss. We didn't go to church on Sunday because of Trenton's illness, but my Mom did and she talked to EVERY mother in the church. They all had advice and my Mom ran to the store and bought every thing they said! THANK YOU MA'AM! I don't know what of it is working and what isn't, but I don't care. I appreciate my Mom going and buying everything and now I know what to stock up on! My entire house smells of eucalyptus because of the plug ins that Whitney suggested and it is helping the entire family! We may stick with it forever.
Trenton is at daycare today and so far, we have not received a call, but he does get his shots this afternoon, so it is going to be a rough day for the little man regardless.
All I know is I will now be one of those moms that ask every one how they did it...I don't want to break him! :)
