Doctor! Doctor!

Recently, we have had quite a time getting Trenton released from all of his doctors. First, I go to the Cardiologist and they tell me my appointment isn't until July 1. Well, I know this is wrong, but Wes says he always knew it was then, but didn't want to argue with me. However, while in the cardiologist office, I get terribly frustrated because they haven't seen my son in over 6 months, but yet he has a heart condition that is so severe I have to be trained on giving him his medicine. So, I simply ask, "What is the point of my keeping the appointment?" Well, the nurse says, your son could be having an attack in the middle of the night and you don't know it. Um, what? My child could be struggling and passing out, only at night, I don't know it, but you want to check his heart at 8:00AM? Really? Keep in mind that Trenton has been on digoxin since birth, but he hasn't had an increase in dose since December, so really, what is the point. Well, when Wes gets frustrated he just wants to leave, but I want to stay and argue my point; however, it really won't do any good, so we just leave. Fine.

Today I was putting things in the safe deposit box and what do I find?!? Trenton's appt card!

This says Pediatric Cardiology and it gets better......

For those who cannot see it says Trenton 6.17.10 at 8:15 AM. Dear Pediatric Cardiology, I would like for you to credit my HUGE bill with what I would have been charged for not calling to cancel. Thanks, Sara Ells.

So, we are officially released from Cardiology after this harrowing event. BUT, today was another appointment, follow-up from his scope. So, we get ready

No, this isn't fat guy in a little coat, but Trenton looks like a BIG BOY here. I promise he still fits in his car seat, but he was starting to sit up as I was taking the picture. But, we leave for MCG!

Naturally, we arrive early (see early blog about running late), but we just play in the waiting room...

Trenton now takes his pacifier, but only to chew on, not to suck. Here we are waiting our turn and talking (very loudly) to Mommy. We play and he is in a good mood. We get called back, weighed (16lbs, 14oz), and wait in another room for the Dr. Well, our luck is such that they come and say that for the second time in his career the doctor is sick! Well, I am not mad about this, he can't help it and it is rare that doctors call in (trust me, Dad NEVER does), so I just reschedule and go about our day.
So, recently the Ellis Family has not had the best of luck with doctors, but I am sure everything is fine and Trenton would be released. For now I am off to call cardiology and cancel our appointment for July 1, because as I said, Trenton is released from cardiology.
Hopefully Wes has better luck this afternoon at the pediatrician's office for shots! Bless his heart!
