We had a time at the hospital! Mama was definitely not the happiest or friendliest guest. I did enjoy sleeping on the vinyl couch and the massive scrape I received from the metal wire poking through my vinyl mattress. I did learn that I need to specify for them NOT to put the IV in Trenton's left arm. Bless his left hand loving heart, he couldn't figure out where his thumb was because it was covered by the IV. We made it through, but I was not the nicest guest. I was grateful for all the doctor did to help Trenton, but exhaustion had set in and I was pretty much over staying the night when nothing was done. Another amazing thing is that Thursday night Trenton couldn't sleep, so we were up at 10:30, 2:30, 4:00 and 4:30. No worries, we slept from 4:30 to 6:00! So, needless to say, when they released us, we were GONE!
So, Friday was a complete exhaustive day. Saturday, Wes and I started playing our new Wii and fell in LOVE! Much to Wes's dismay, I am pretty good at Tiger Wood's Golf and even beat him. We also went and bought the Wii Fit on Saturday and started doing that Sunday. BUT, the amazing news is on Saturday, while Wes was golfing, Trenton said "DaDa". I have never seen Wes's face light up so much! He said it once and Wes just looked at me, then he said it again! He has since not stopped saying it, unless we want him to. I love hearing him say it though. I am trying to teach him MaMa, but when I say that he sticks out his tongue and laughs and then says DaDa. I am so excited for Wes though. He and Trenton are like two peas in a pod. I cannot wait to listen to Trenton grow more. Granted, we still can't sit up, but soon we will know subject/verb agreement. :)
While I showed my fanny at the hospital...all to get my son his left thumb, it was all worth it since we were able to hear his first precious DaDa!
