Today is my birthday! I am 26 and really excited about my b'day. But there is some background information that is necessary before I can tell all about my AMAZING b'day weekend!
I was born March 15, 1984. Wes, my husband, March 16, 1981 a little after midnight. For those of you who have known me a long time you know that I am pretty excited about birthdays! In fact, growing up I was not allowed to MENTION my b'day until after my grandfather's b'day in February. Yes, I was that obsessive. Well, then I got married....
I don't like to share my month, let alone my week, and almost my day. I am still convinced it was Wes who had a Pink Dipper b'day and therefore I couldn't. But my b'day is first and Wes is not as fanatical about b'day's as I am. So, he is a trooper and puts up with me. Last year we announced we were pregnant on our birthday...this year, NO ANNOUNCEMENTS!!!!
Okay, back to 2010...
My Mom has been asking me since March 8 what I wanted to do for my b'day, where we could eat, if I wanted to do anything...here is my respsonse...
I have class on Saturday, then homework to get done on Sunday, Monday night I have a meeting for class on Wednesday and Tuesday is Wes's b'day, so i guess nothing. I will keep you posted...
My sweet Mom, "Okay!" Just let me know! So sweet...I am pretty frantic because school is annoying me this semester. Anyway...
Saturday: I have class and it is from 8:30-4:30..BOO! I come home at 11:30 for lunch and later learn that was a BIG ordeal. My husband is out running errands (always early) for my b'day and my Mom, Dad, and Grandmother are here with Trenton. This is actually a good plan because my parent's house is on the market and they had to get out of it anyway. I stay until lunch is over and then I head back to class for another annoyingly slow 3 hours!
Here is how I think it went...
Wes comes home from shopping, Granny keeps Trenton, Dad is with the dogs, and Mom is working all around the house!!! That is right, my precious Mother decided to help her annoyingly whiny daughter and she cleaned my house! I came home to clean floors, dusted tables, and I LOVED IT! Wes had finally taken the clothes to Goodwill, LOVED it! Also, Blakelyn, my cousin helped as I later learned because Jay & Yvette stopped by! Best part of the afternoon, my Granny got to spend the day with Trenton. :)
So, I arrive and find the table set with tulips as a centerpiece and my house smells like blueberries. So, I am thinking Wes made muffins since that is the only thing I have ever seen him make...I was wrong.
I am handed the baby and told dinner will be ready soon (yes, early, but I didn't eat lunch). Since I was SUCH a brat and couldn't decide anything, my parents went to the store and bought dinner for Wes and me. Steaks, potatoes, and even a cute salad for Wes. Desert was strawberry shortcake (since strawberries are my favorite). That wasn't the only desert! The blueberries I thought I smelled, Wes had made my favorite cake! Strawberry cake with Chocolate icing!!!!
My precious Mother knew how much I was not happy about class, so she and my husband got together and planned an amazing b'day for me. That night we had a great meal and we celebrated me! :)
Sunday....
Church. Every time we go to Church, Trenton gets sick.. This week, no different. Today I am at work, but leaving as soon as Heather gets in. My precious baby has an ear infection. This wouldn't be a HUGE deal but he also has a fever to go along. So, he is with his Great-Granny until I leave here!
So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Pictures of the amazing cake my husband made will be posted later!
