Renewed Commitment

So, yesterday I completed an assignment for school where I had to interview a current school counselor. Let me tell you that recently I have been really disillusioned with school. So, after Wednesday night of another class that seemed just like a class I already had coupled with a conversation with my father about family and how they are selective listeners, I was done. I was tired, I was mad, I am stressed, so I was ready to give up!

Well, yesterday I went to visit this counselor and she absolutely renewed my desire to finish school and even made me interested in high school students. I learned so much about her and the school and I wanted to sign up to work there already! Also, talking to a co-worker, I realized she was going to be quite the motivator too. It is a hard situation becuase I rarely LOVE the place I work, but currently I do. So, I am left to figure out when to finish school and pursue this LOVE for counseling too.

It is hard to look at all the assignments and projects and feel like I am going to use this, but I have to get through another 2 years (since I am stretching it out) and complete my degree so I can finally find a home in a Middle or High School!

I feel so grown up, I am finally having to keep my commitments. I used to not place such an emphasis on that, but now that I realize just how much it means to me and my friends to keep my commitments, there is no reason not to, no matter how hard it may seem.

Thanks to this counsleor and this co-worker, I don't think they read the blog, but shout out!
So, that was my serious blog...

*** Side note ***
This morning Wes and I woke up at 6:53...very late. Last night, Trenton ate at 8:00, so he slept from 8:00-7:00. So much for our alarm clock! So, Trenton ate at 7, then I rushed to get ready and get him to school and me to work. however, I loved the extra sleep! :)

Tonight, date night for wes and me. We are finally watching a movie!
