So, in college I had an amazing group of friends, we called ourselves "The Divas". Well, there were 5 of us total: Becker, Falk, Bee, Kylene & myself (McRee, now McEllis). We went through a LOT together. I mean, it was truly like a sisterhood. There was no holding back on ANY emotions, but we also had probably one of the best times at college because we were all so different and it was amazing. Now that we are all "grown up" we don't get to see each other a lot unless it is a wedding, well, I was married February 16, 2008. Rebecca (Bee) was married June 27, 2009. Now, Kylene is getting married October 2, 2010! So, the Divas will reunite again.
Now, a lot has changed since the last wedding, but this blog is all about my figure and how it has changed. Any Mom out there will understand that even if you gain the recommended amount of weight during pregnancy (which I did) everything still moves. Well, Trenton, with his TE Fistula was not very helpful in the amniotic fluid department, so I was HUGE in the belly. That being said as of today, Operation Bridesmaid starts. Now, I am not the girl that is debbie downer on herself about her weight, but the fact is, I have always been the "big" friend. You all know what I am talking about, there is always one in the group!
Flashback to my childhood. My best friend was about the size of my pinky. She is super sweet, but we took dance together and one of our parents thought it was a good idea for us to take pictures back to back. Let me tell you, we made a lowercase letter 'b' with a thick stem. It was SO embarrassing. (looking back) At the time, I thought I was hot stuff! :)
Present day, I am in Kylene's wedding on 10.2.10 and I am very excited; however, by that time Trenton will be 11 months old! I know, crazy, right?!? So, I cannot say that my extra weight is due to the fact that I just had a baby. So, Operation Bridesmaid starts today! I lost about 60 lbs the summer before starting Senior year at PC, so I know I can do it. I will figure out the time to exercise and still get everything done. I will not be reporting weight numbers, but I will report the amount lost. Any recommendations on how to accomplish it all are welcome!
Not only will this be good for Wes and I to both get in shape, but it will also be good to start healthy habits before Trenton gets old enough to know any differently. So, it begins today. I will be somewhat cranky and definitely hungry, but I can do it.
*** Side Note, Trenton is now 13.8 lbs! ***
Also, when we go to Kylene's wedding in October we will be seeing if any or both grandparents want to stay with Trenton and Baxter. We will be leaving him for the FIRST time, so we are going to find someone to keep him at our house so he doesn't have to pack all of his stuff too. Not to mention, the poor dog! So, Nameless and MeMe, ya'll be thinking about it. :)
